Small Business Rate Relief

The Chamber is reminding small businesses to make sure they claim the small business rate relief to which they are entitled from Tewkesbury Borough Council.  Eligible businesses with rateable values of up to £5,999 can claim up to 50% rate relief on their liability.  Between £6,000 to £11,999 the relief will decrease on a sliding scale of 1% for every £120 rateable value.

Julie Wood, Ecomonic Development Officer at Tewkesbury BC says there has been a poor take up. 

The Chamber is advising members that it is not an automatic reduction, and it is important to ensure you complete and return the form.
